We don't have too much to report this week. We have spent our week getting back into the swing of things after vacation. I have done more laundry than I ever thought possible! I had about three weeks worth and if you saw one of the earlier blogs then you know each load in the washing machine takes between 2-3 hours and only holds half the amount of a US machine. The dryer takes the same amount of time and of course I have to dump out the water drawer in between each load! But we are in clean clothes now!
Clermont is mostly dead right now as many of the stores and restaurants close for August. I went to take Gant's clothes to the dry cleaners ( it is called the Pressing here) the day we got back and there was a sign on the door that said closed until Sept 1st! It is that way for a lot of places around here!
The sign says Conges Annuels ( Annual Vacation) and the dates are from August 17- Sept 1st!!!
We did our first online grocery shopping trip this week since we needed so many groceries and a lot of the little markets near our house are closed for August.
We went online and put everything on our cart and then chose our pickup time!
We pulled up to the side of the grocery store Intermarche
Pushed this button and said our name and out came our groceries loaded into our trunk !! It was awesome!
IKEA opened in Clermont while we were on vacation so we went this week to check it out. It was really great to get some of those things we had on our list for a while now that we didn't know where else to get besides IKEA!
Henry at the IKEA milkshake machine? Not sure what is in those? They were a little more like sludge than milkshakes but he loved it!
We had a play date with our friends the Jennings this week at what they call here "the Sable Show" which translates to sand show. It was advertised as a splash park, ropes course and trampoline park. Um.... It was a fountain, a few logs to walk across with a net and a harness, and one trampoline with a few squares on it, but.... We had fun anyway!!
When we arrived the boys had on their swim trunks and the lifeguard at the splash park/ fountain said they had to have speedos to get in!!! So I took the two boys back on the tram to go buy speedos so they could splash. It seemed so ridiculous to me, but how else would we have been able to buy this beautiful suit!!
Patriotic and teeny!!! Bam!
Ropes course pics!
We head to Paris this Wed- Sat and we are really looking forward to it! More posts from Paris!
