This is the back of Henry's head- we have to put lavender oil on his hairline and behind his ears EVERY morning! He wanted to make sure you can't see it so asked me to take a picture to prove it to him! The lice here is so rampant that everyone does lavender oil to try to prevent it- apparently the bugs stay away from lavender- Fingers crossed!!!!
Talk about old school medicinal practices- this is Vitamin D for Henry- it comes in a glass vial from the pharmacy - you break both ends carefully with a towel so you don't cut yourself and to make sure you get a clean break so the child won't ingest glass!
Here is the filing cabinet at the doctor's office. It looks to me like a card catalog at the library when I was in elementary school. I think they do index cards for each patient and just prefer to keep that silly computer/ machine thingy that the rest of the civilized world uses out of it.
We went to this Moroccan restaurant the other night. The shady entrance scared me a little but Gant reassured me it was delicious.
Inside is like you are truly eating in a tent!!
Each place setting had a different design all full of beautiful colors and shapes
Picking which Couscous we would like- they bring out a huge bowl of couscous and veggies and you chose the meat. It was absolutely delicious.
The owner wanted to take our picture with Moroccan hats - ummm... Sure! Remember that earlier picture about the rampant lice? I couldn't get those hats off fast enough!
Once a month there is a Brocante here (flea market) so I had my first taste on Saturday. What fun!
I know I have mentioned just how seriously they take soccer (le football) here! Check out the stadium where Henry practices!
While he was practicing on Wednesday I walked around the trails all around the stadium. It is beautiful and reminded me of trails around Greenville.
It could be Paris Mountain!
Chestnuts are all over the place here. Henry and I collected tons and had so much fun looking at all of the different shapes and sizes and designs.
We even made a little fall arrangement! They don't celebrate Halloween here but they sell pumpkins to eat!
There is a lot of chestnut flavored stuff here- no idea why this is written in English? Very rare to see that! I have heard they roast chestnuts here at Christmas in the center of town! Maybe we will get to actually experience 🎶"chestnuts roasting on an open fire"🎶
