They do not celebrate Halloween here but an ex-pat Mom arranged a little picnic for the children to dress up and play games. It was held at a park under a cluster of evergreen trees! The moms stood at different trees around a circle and they came to each of us to trick or treat!
I decided to put on my Willie Nelson braids!
Henry with three of his buddies, the Jennings kiddos!
Gant dressed up for 5 seconds for this picture!
The picnic was underneath these arbors
Here they go from mom to mom
This was about the only sign of Halloween in town in a little chocolate shop and those are little chocolate pumpkins and spiders!
What's that? A witch's broom? No. That would be the actual broom used by the city workers to clean the sidewalks!! Maybe that is why they look kinda dingy?!? Doesn't look like the strongest collection of branches to me!
They don't have car washes here- or at least not like in the US- (or at least not to my knowledge ) so we did a good cleaning ourselves the other day! I think Henry might have a future at Canopy Car Wash! He did an awesome job!
And seemed to have a lot of fun!
I hardly have words. Lost parokeet?
The only place in Clermont to get a coffee to go. And while you carry it around as you walk, you wil be STARED DOWN for doing such a strange thing!! You cannot take beverages on any transportation here so you can basically drink it on the sidewalk! I was even asked in a store to please leave it at the front counter while I shopped. Can you imagine if they had that rule in the US! Ha!!!
My boys walking to church. They are two handsome fellows!
I tried to take these pictures inconspicuously at church on Sunday so you could see the service. It is very small and very different than anything we are used to for sure, but the gospel is being preached in French! We celebrate this!
Jaude, the center of town as we walked home Friday night from dinner. Pretty huh?
