Thanksgiving

34
One of the churches in town hosts an annual Thanksgiving meal the Sunday beforehand. It is very nice of them to do something for all of the ex-pats here from America.

Here we are pre- feast for a little family picture!

We had such a fun night with our friends for Thanksgiving! I was feeling so homesick for a couple of days before Thanksgiving and having a big dinner with friends was just the cure I needed!

We had some American specialities courtesy of an American grocery store in Paris who ships those ingredients we needed!

A simple centerpiece - my pumpkins has started to get gross and moldy so I just spray painted them gold so I could stretch them for one more holiday!

The kiddos having fun together.

Such fun to relax after a long day of work- who wants to work on Thanksgiving???

The kids winding down with Charlie Brown Christmas.

The next day I joined some ladies from the International Women's Club to give away free pieces of pie at a local market.

Most people wanted to try it and were curious about it since here they only eat pumpkin as a savory dish.

This was another woman serving pies with me- we had to take a picture with this random Michelin Man wandering through the market- apparently he was part of an improv group?!?

And lastly, a little piece of everyday life here- Gant ordered some firewood and was home waiting for the delivery to be loaded into our garage. Instead, the guy backed his truck up and dumped it all on the curb outside the gate of our courtyard. Two hours and 50 loads later, here is Gant on his last couple of loads. Not really dying to win that customer service award here in France!! Ha!
