January

We are back into our routine and Henry has started a ski program on Saturdays for the next ten weeks. He goes with a big group from school to a ski slope called Besse about 45 min/1 hour away for several hours every Saturday. Here he is with two buddies about to get on the bus for their maiden voyage to Super Besse.

He had so much fun!!

But always comes home pooped!! He hates taking his ski boots off! Who doesn't?

This is the scene outside our front door for January and February- I love it! When else in his life (as a southerner) would he ever get to ski one hour away every weekend?

January is a time with a lot of school work and homework - or seems to be more lately! A few of you have asked to see some of his homework so here is a little sampling.

When I leaf through his notebooks, I stand in awe of all he faces each day! We are really proud of his tenacity! He just so rarely gets a break from hearing and speaking French. All of his activities outside of school, in restaurants, going to a movie, soccer practice, talking to his orthodontist, pediatrician, the bus driver, etc. are all in French all of the time! I know how much he loves having a few English speaking friends in the mix!! Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement towards him with notes or mail or just thinking of him. He has come so far, he still has a great deal on him, so please keep praying for him! We miss you all!
