Henry went on his first overnight field trip this week- it was a 4 night trip! Here he is at 5:30 am Monday morning so excited to go on an adventure! We have had zero communication for the whole 5 days from the school- crazy!?!?! No news is good news?
And they were off! They come back tonight at 9pm!
This adorable little girl is a friend's daughter. What is that covering her face, you ask? That would be chicken pox!!!! It sure had been a while since I had seen those! They don't vaccinate here for the virus so the school was covered in spots!
Ok, so I have mentioned all of the protests and strikes. It is a REGULAR occurrence here for all kinds of employees- transportation, teachers, etc. but the one I just heard about takes the cake- someone went to Disney Paris recently and the Disney characters were on strike!!!!!! I have now heard it all. French citizens are not supposed to work more than 35 hours a week and have a minimum of 5 weeks vacation. What is it exactly they are so upset about????
A friend just got a new puppy. France picks a letter each year and you HAVE TO NAME YOUR DOG something that starts with that letter?!? What? Our friends wanted to name their dog Flash, but were told they couldn't because this is the year of the "M". They are going with McFlash instead. Have you ever heard of such??
