Visitors!!

Nothing is more fun than having friends come to see us! Amanda and her youngest son, Hayes, added a stop to France on their recent trip to Italy. We were so excited to have so many fun times together.

On their first day we took them to Puy -de -Dome to see the view of our whole region

It happened to be our 17th Anniversary that day, so we had Amanda take some shots of us to commemorate the day!

There were lots of paragliders on this beautiful day.

Lunch at one of our favorite bistros, Le Lion, in the center of town

And off to the ropes course!

Gant always has just as much fun as the kiddos. Amanda and I just sat below watching and catching up- such a treat.

And a climb to the top of the cathedral - 200+ steps- it always feels like an accomplishment!

This is one sweaty selfie- it was a really hot day!

No trip to France is complete without trying on a beret. And yes, for the record, people actually DO wear them here! And no, we don't wear them! Ha!
Can you tell for we didn't slow down for any jet lag? They had been on our time zone for a week so they were ready to roll!

The next day we went to a mountain lake, Lake Chambon, to enjoy some cooler temperatures!

Here is the French countyside's inflatable version of "Wipeout". Hayes and Henry had fun, but said there were some crazy folks out there!

They sure clean up well- for a fun dinner downtown

The next day we went to Lyon for their last day in France.

Here we are walking around the streets of downtown Lyon - we just strolled and took in the sights and shops

Then we walked to the park right in the middle of town that has a great zoo (we went there earlier in the Spring- the golden head park- I would highly recommend it!)

And one last dinner before they left at the Restaurant L'est in the old train station

Hayes kept saying how much he wanted authentic French Fries - he was shocked they aren't really French! The napkins had one button hole in them - we could only assume that meant we were supposed to wear them like bibs!

Whenever anyone comes to visit we have more time with them in a few days than we would ever have in Greenville, even if we saw them once a week! It is just such special, uninterrupted time and we wouldn't trade one minute with one guest for anything!
